Homeless World Cup 2010 - Team Gomo Tong

Each year, GYPA organizes a team that participates in the annual Homeless World Cup. Most recently, GYPA organized a team of young women for the first Female Homeless World Cup in Melbourne, Australia. Team Gomo Tong practices and prepares throughout the year and is training in hopes to participate in the Female Homeless World Cup in Brazil in 2010. Helping Hands Medical Fellowship

HHMF is one of GYPA's most successful and longest-running initiatives. Running since 2005, HHMF is a program in partnership with an organization called Brit Olam whereby Israeli physicians, nurses and other health experts spend from 2-4 months working at local hospitals and holding outreach clinics in the rural Kiboga District about two hours Northwest of Kampala, Uganda. We need your support to ensure the continuation of this very successful program.T

GYPA Dental Immersion Fund

Following up on a very successful program in 2007, this December 2008 Ohio State University College of Dentistry students will travel to Uganda and provide dental treatment and education to urban and rural communities across Uganda. The program aims to provide a unique opportunity for OSU students, but to establish a longer-term relationship between the university and Uganda.

GYPA depends upon the generous donations of its many friends, partners and sponsors to support our programs in the US and Africa. We rely upon discretionary gifts to cover our domestic educational programs and various administrative costs.
